The Roman Town House Dorchester by John Lowe
The building is the Roman Town House in Dorchester and the artwork was staged as part of Museums night where on one evening you can buy a ticket to get you into all five museums in Dorchester and the Town House. This is great for families and is very popular. The mosaic is Roman and dates to the 4th century AD. It has a regular pattern of alternating rectangles and swastikas which is highlighted in the placing of the symbols marked on the bags. Since the cover building was built the structure has become a place where spiders live. At the time a new spider man film was being shown hence the link between Marvell Comics, marvellous mosaics and spiders.
